
Panthers Acquire F Vincent Praplan from San Jose Sharks

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have acquired forward Vincent Praplan from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for future considerations.
A native of Sierre, Switzerland, the 24-year-old Praplan is in his first North American professional season. With the San Jose Barracuda, the 6-foot, 190-pound forward has accumulated four goals and 12 assists for 16 points to go along with a +7 rating in 27 games.
Following the two-game weekend this weekend in Hartford and Bridgeport, the Thunderbirds return to the MassMutual Center on Friday, March 1 for Boomer Bobblehead night presented by Stop & Shop, as the T-Birds and Wolf Pack square off once again for a 7:05 p.m. puck drop. On Saturday, March 2, New England Patriots Super Bowl champion Trey Flowers will be on hand for a meet-and-greet beginning at 6:00 p.m. on the MassMutual Center concourse.
