Pair of Errors Bite Senators

Trenton took advantage of two Senators errors to plate two unearned runs in the Senators 5-3 loss to Trenton Friday night. Rhett Wiseman hit a solo home run and Michael A. Taylor hit a two-run home run which put the Sens on top 3-2 in the fifth. But Harrisburg couldn't hold the lead, committing error in the fifth which led to two runs scoring and another in the seventh which allowed an insurance run to score. Tyler Mapes started and pitched six solid frames but took the loss.

On Capitol Hill

Tyler Mapes went six innings and allowed five runs, three earned, on eight hits. He took the loss but pitched better than the final line shows.

Jacob Condra-Bogan was outstanding, retiring every batter he faced.

With the Gavel

Rhett Wiseman had three hits including a home run to pace the Sens.

Nick Banks went 2-for-3 including a double leading off the ninth inning.

Michael A. Taylor homered and drove in two.

Filibusters

- The Sens are 2-2 on their six-game road trip against the New York Affiliates, the Mets and Yankees.

- With their two errors Friday night, the Sens have committed 97 errors, second to last in the league.

- Harrisburg is 7-4 against Trenton this season.

The Senators play the Trenton Thunder in game two of their three-game series Saturday night in Trenton at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:50 p.m.
