Pair of Big Innings Lift Senators

Harrisburg Senators News Release


The Senators scored four runs in the first inning and five in the fifth in their 10-6 win over the Bowie Baysox Tuesday in Bowie. Drew Mendoza hit a pair of 3-run home runs to lead the Sens to the win. Luis Reyes started and earned the win.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Luis Reyes pitched 5.2 innings and allowed five hits and six runs. Reyes walked three and struck out five. He retired the side in order in the third and fifth innings.

Bryan Dobzanski pitched one third of an inning in relief of Reyes.

Andrew Lee pitched two innings in his first action since May 8. Lee retired six of the seven batters he faced.

Frankie Bartow pitched a scoreless ninth.

WITH THE GAVEL

Drew Mendoza hit a pair of three-run home runs to pace the Senators.

Humberto Arteaga hit a solo home run, had a rbi single and scored two runs.

Aldrem Corredor had two hits and scored two runs.

Osvaldo Duarte hit a rbi triple in the fifth inning and later scored.

FILIBUSTERS

The Senators scored a season-high 10 runs on a season-high 10 hits. The win is just their second on the road. The five-run fifth inning was their season high in runs in one frame. Harrisburg didn't make an error but also didn't turn a double play. They had turned 17 double plays in the first 18 games of the season.

ON DECK

The Senators play game two of a six-game series at Bowie Wednesday night. Game time Wednesday is 6:35 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 6:15 p.m.
