HAMILTON, ONT. - Chicago Wolves forward Magnus Paajarvi was in on all four of his team's goals to pace the Wolves (36-25-6-1) to a 4-2 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs (32-26-11-0) on Thursday night at FirstOntario Centre.

Chicago forward Magnus Paajarvi opened the scoring at 10:22 of the first period when his shot bounced off the back boards, then off the leg of Hamilton goaltender Mike Condon and over the goal line. Assists on the play went to defenceman Jani Hakanpaa and forward Pat Cannone.

At 7:03 of the second period, Paajarvi gave the Wolves a 2-0 lead off another strange bounce that beat Condon. Forward Shane Harper and defenceman Brent Regner had assists.

Just over four minutes into the third period, Harper ripped a one-timer from the right circle past Condon to give his club a 3-0 lead, with assists from Paajarvi and Cannone.

Bulldogs forward T.J. Hensick got Hamilton on the board with 11:44 to play in the third period with a backhand shot that beat Wolves goaltender Matt Climie high, glove side. Hensick's 18th goal of the season was assisted by forwards Christian Thomas and Drayson Bowman.

Cannone ultimately put the game out of reach for good with a power play marker that made it 4-1 at the 10:52 mark of the third period. Paajarvi and defenceman Petteri Lindbohm notched assists on the play.

With Condon pulled for an extra attacker, 'Dogs forward Charles Hudon scored his 16th goal of the season with three minutes to go to get his team back within two, but that's as close as they would get. Defenceman Darren Dietz and forward Nick Sorkin had helpers.

Condon made 36 saves on 40 shots for the Bulldogs in the loss, while Climie stopped 31 of 33 shots for the Wolves in the win.

Hamilton didn't get a power play on the night, while Chicago was 1-for-1 with a man advantage.

The loss leaves the 'Dogs in sole possession of ninth place in the American Hockey League's Western Conference for the time being, three points back of the idle Milwaukee Admirals for the eighth and final playoff spot.
