
P-Nats Celebrate Star Wars: Episode I, Harry Potter Day, & Cinco De May During Weekend Set

Woodbridge, VA - The Potomac Nationals welcome the Winston-Salem Dash (Chicago White Sox) to Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium for a three-game series from Friday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 5th. The weekend homestand is packed to the brim with exciting promotions, which include the Star Wars: Episode I 20th Anniversary Night, Harry Potter Day, a Cinco de Mayo fiesta, and more.
The series kicks off on Friday, May 3rd with the debut of the "Too Sweeto to be True" Loaded Ticket package, presented by Sweeto Burrito. Available at every Friday night home game through the end of the 2019 regular season, the package expands on previous Friday night ticket promotions with a smorgasbord of fan perks rolled into one. Each "Too Sweeto to be True" package features a delicious chicken or pork Sweeto Burrito, a grandstand seat to a Friday night game, an adjustable P-Nats hat, and a refillable P-Nats mug. Prices start at two packages for $22, with seat upgrades available for an additional fee.
Friday night is also "Strike out Stroke" night at Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium, presented by Sentara Healthcare. Sentara representatives will be on hand to raise awareness of stroke prevention, while fans can walk away with a special souvenir after an in-game "Strike out Stroke" t-shirt toss.
On Saturday night, the P-Nats will recognize "May the Fourth" with a celebration of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. In honor of the 20th anniversary of the blockbuster film, P-Nats players and coaches will wear special Star Wars-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off throughout the game. These autographed jerseys will be presented to winning bidders at the conclusion of the night, where the winning bidder can take a picture with the player who wore the jersey that they won! Star Wars fans can enter an autographed lightsaber raffle, witness on-field lightsaber fights and pod races, enter into a costume contest, and enjoy a night full of Star Wars sights and sounds throughout the ballpark. All fans who show up in Star Wars attire are eligible to purchase a discounted $5 ticket for this trip to a galaxy far, far away. Following the game, fans can participate in the tennis ball toss, presented by Dicks Sporting Goods, with a chance to win a cash prize if they can land a tennis ball in the Northwest Federal Credit Union cash bucket in the outfield As always, kids can run the bases after every Saturday night home game presented by Glory Days Grill.
Things wrap up on Sunday, May 5th with a celebration of Cinco de Mayo and the return of Harry Potter Day at The Pfitz. Food and drink specials will be abound for this annual event, with decorations throughout the ballpark and P-Nats prizes for the fan who comes closest to guessing the number of beans inside a jar at fan assistance.
The return of Harry Potter Day will once again turn Northwest Federal Field at Pfitzner Stadium into the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for fans of all ages. Seating sections will be sorted into houses, with broom races, costume contests, wand-making stations and more. Fans should be on the lookout for a hidden golden snitch at the ballpark, as whoever finds the golden snitch will receive a special P-Nats prize! All fans with a scar on their face (lightning bolt or otherwise) are eligible to purchase a discounted $5 ticket from the box office.
The P-Nats are proud to support our military and will wear special Military Appreciation jerseys for every Sunday home game, presented by Northwest Federal Credit Union. The jerseys will be auctioned off on August 25th, with proceeds set to benefit the Women Veterans Interactive. It's also another Virginia529 Super Saver Sunday. Fans can show their Virginia529 Smart Savers Club Card to receive two free grandstand tickets to the game.
Finally, Sunday is the first day that students involved in Uncle Slam's Reading Program can redeem their filled-out bookmark for a two ticket and a spot in the pre-game parade. Be sure to arrive early to cheer on all the young P-Nats fans who completed their reading goals this year! As another Kids Day Sunday, the first 200 fans ages 12 and under will receive a free hot dog and drink, as well as receive autographs from P-Nats players and play catch on the field after the game.
