
P-Bruins' Winning Streak Snapped at Four

Albany, NY - The Providence Bruins fell to the Albany Devils 4-3 Friday evening at the Times Union Center. The P-Bruins got two goals from Maxime Sauve and a goal from Craig Cunningham. The P-Bruins return to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. against the Worcester Sharks for Playing Cards Night.
The P-Bruins took a 1-0 lead at the 1:28 mark of the opening period, while on the power play. Kirk MacDonald held the puck and passed it off to Jamie Arniel. He found Sauve towards the front of the net who picked up the puck and scored his eighth goal of the season. Albany tied the game at one at the 15:25 mark. Kory Nagy tallied his third goal of the season, while Alexander Urbom and Corbin McPherson picked up the assists. The game went into the first intermission tied at one.
Providence retook the lead at the 16:30 mark of the second period. Kevan Miller had the puck at the point and worked it down the boards to Arniel. Once again he connected with Sauve, who scored his second goal of the night and ninth goal of the season. Albany tied the game at two at the 17:06 mark. Dan Kelly netted his second goal of the season, while Eric Gelinas and Steve Zalewski recorded the assists. The game went into the second intermission tied at two.
The Devils took their first lead of the game at the 1:48 mark of the third period. Stephen Gionta scored his fifth goal of the season, while Matt Anderson and Gelinas had the assists. Albany took a two goal advantage at the 4:35 mark. David Wohlberg tallied his first goal of the season, while Brad Mills and Gionta grabbed the assists. Providence battled back with a goal at the 18:57 mark. Cunningham scored his 19th goal of the season, while Carter Camper had the lone assist. The Devils went onto the 4-3 victory.
Anton Khudobin stopped 28 of 32 shots for the P-Bruins, while Keith Kinkaid made 35 saves for the Devils. The P-Bruins were 1-for-4 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins return to The Dunk Friday for Playing Cards Night presented by Walgreens at 7:05 p.m. against the Sharks.
