The Pirates held a 27-22 shot advantage through 40 minutes.

In the third period, Sharks killer Andy Miele (14th) scored his 6th goal of the season vs. Worcester with a terrific deflection past Sateri after a soft backhander from the blue line by Ryan Duncan at 14:47 to put the Pirates ahead 4-3.
