
P-Bruins Fall to Pirates 3-0

Portland, ME - The Providence Bruins fell to the Portland Pirates 3-0 Tuesday evening at the Cumberland County Civic Center. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. for Visor Night against the Connecticut Whale.
The Pirates took the 1-0 lead at the 3:30 mark of the opening period. Dennis McCauley tallied his 12th goal of the season, while Nick Crawford and Colin Stuart recorded the assists. Portland made it 2-0 at the 5:22 mark. Nick Tuzzolino netted his first goal of the season, while Mark Voakes and Jacob Legace picked up the assists. The Pirates led 2-0 going into the first intermission.
After a scoreless second period, the Pirates finished off the scoring with an empty net goal at the 19:05 mark of the third period. T.J. Brennanscored his 15 th goal of the season, while Paul Byron and Mark Parrish grabbed the assists as Portland went onto the 3-0 victory.
Anton Khudobin stopped 25 of 27 shots for the P-Bruins, while David Leggio made 28 saves for the Pirates. The P-Bruins were 0-for-3 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The P-Bruins return to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. for Visor Night against the Whale. Providence heads on the road to face the Worcester Sharks at the DCU Center Saturday at 7:00 p.m. before wrapping up the weekend at home at The Dunk Sunday for Team Poster Night against the Sharks at 4:05 p.m. Information on P-Bruins tickets can be obtained by calling the team ticket office at (401) 273-5000 or by logging onto the team website at www.providencebruins.com.
