Northern Colorado Owlz News Release

HELENA-It was the bottom of the ninth, bases loaded for the Brewers who were looking for another classic finish at home in front of their fans in attendance at the ballpark, but Adam Hofacket came into the game and ended any hope of that. Hofacket tossed a pitch that was hit high into the glove of David Fletcher which gave the Owlz the bounce back victory 7-4 on Sunday.

The Owlz lead 1-0 after the fourth inning of play, but never lead again until a surge came in the ninth inning as the Owlz saw five hits in the top of the inning that sent five batters across home plate to help the Orem Owlz snap a three game losing skid to the Helena Brewers.

The game started out with Joe Gatto on the mound for the Owlz who pitched 5.1 innings of play with two strikeouts during his time on the mound. After Gatto left the mound the Owlz saw four other pitchers hit the mound including Austin Young who won his first game of the year.

Offensively for the Owlz they had 12 hits as a team in the win, five of those hits came in the ninth inning where Ranyelmy Mendoza, Hutton Moyer, Jared Foster, Kyle Survance, Jr. and David Fletcher all scored in the top of the inning to help the Owlz regain the lead and come away with the victory.

The Owlz evened up the road series at 1 a piece with the win on Sunday and they will be back in action on Monday night with first pitch at 7:05 MT.
