OGDEN, UTAH - The Missoula Osprey (17-12) scored twice in the first and three times in the third en route to jumping out to an early 5-0 lead in a 7-1 victory over Ogden (15-16) in game two of a four-game road series being played at Ogden's Lindquist Field. With Idaho Falls posting a victory over Great Falls, Missoula now owns sole possession of first place in the Pioneer League North.

Luke Lowery guided the way off offensively, finishing a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs scored, two doubles and an RBI. The four hits were a career-high for Lowery, who hit out of the third spot in the order.

Including the two from Lowery, Missoula managed six doubles in the victory. Austin Byler, Tyler Humphreys, Marcus Wilson and Isan Diaz all collected one, with Diaz' leadoff double in the first extending his hitting streak to nine games.

That double from Diaz eventually resulted in Missoula's first run of the game as Lowery notched his first hit of the day with an RBI-double into right centerfield to plate the run. Jason Morozowski, who went 2-for-4, capped the first-inning scoring, driving in Lowery with a single down the right field line.

The lead swelled to 5-0 in the third when Wilson cleared the bases with a three-RBI double into left centerfield. The two-bagger chased home Lowery, Byler and Morozowski, as Lowery and Morozowski each reached with singles earlier in the inning.

After a Humphreys double ran the lead to 6-0 in the fifth, Ogden managed to plate its lone run of the game on back-to-back doubles from Delvis Morales and Gage Green. While Osprey starter Scott Schultz would go on to strike out the next man for the first out, the right-hander did not pitch any further, exiting after 4.1 innings of one-run ball.

Left-hander Cameron Smith took over on the mound for Schultz, and native of Seabrook, Texas tossed the next 3.2 scoreless innings of work to record the victory and move to 5-0 on the season. Smith struck out four over the 3.2 innings and did not walk a batter.

Missoula would go on to plate its final run in the sixth inning as Lowery contributed his second double of the game before coming around to score on a double from Byler.

Ogden starter Ivan Vieitez took the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits and three walks over the first three innings of work. The decision dropped the right-hander to 0-2 on the season.

Missoula will continue the four-game road series at Ogden tomorrow night. First pitch between LHP Anfernee Benitez (0-2, 6.23 ERA) and RHP Dennis Santana (0-3, 11.09 ERA) is scheduled for 7:00 pm MT.
