THOMASVILLE, N.C. - Forest City snapped a 26 1/3 scoreless streak in a big way on Wednesday night as the belted four home runs and cruised past the HiToms 10-4 at Finch Field.

Forest City (9-6) struck first in the third inning on a pair of RBI singles from Reed Harper and Danny Canela to make it 2-0. The lead grew to three runs after a Axel Johnson home run off Conner Scarborough (L, 1-4) in the fourth.

The HiToms (10-6) answered back with a Stephen Carmon solo homer off Andrew Brown (W, 3-1) in the last of the fourth to cut the deficit to two-runs at 3-1.

With the Tommies trailing by a run in the top of the seventh, the Owls began to pull away as they chased Scarborough from the game on a Konstantine Diamadorus two-run home runs, his only hit of the night, which made it 6-3 Owls.

Forest City then added four runs to the board off Jonny Hoffman in the ninth inning as Harper bolted a grand slam over the wall in left for a 10-3 lead.

The HiToms added a run in the ninth, but it was too little too late as they fell to Forest City 10-4.

The Tommies return to action tomorrow night at 7:30 when they travel to McNair Field to battle the Owls once again. The next time the HiToms will see Finch Field will be Friday night at 7:00 when they welcome the Martinsville Mustangs to town.
