Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
DURHAM, N.C. - The PawSox (44-58) defeated the Durham Bulls (59-45), completing the sweep by a score of 3-1. Kyle Hart pitched extremely well tonight, spinning six innings of two-hit work.
The Bulls started out first, scoring 1 run in the bottom of the 6th. Dalton Kelly hit a leadoff double, before being driven in by a Joe McCarthy sacrifice fly.
Pawtucket would come back thought thanks to Chris Owings. He smashed a three-run home run to drive in Jantzen Witte, who singled and Gorkys Hernandez, who walked. This was Chris Owings fifth straight game with a home run - the first Pawtucket player to homer in five straight games since 1999.
Marco Hernandez made his return to Triple-A, going 1-4. He has hit .339 with 2 homeruns and 7 RBIs this season for the Boston Red Sox
Trevor Kelley pitched 1.1 innings, striking out 2 and recording his 7th save of the season.
Kyle Hart took the mound tonight for Pawtucket, firing 6 great innings, allowing only 2 hits and 1 run. He struck out 8 in his 6th win of the season.
