Otters Start Three Game, Two Day Series vs. Greys

(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - The Evansville Otters (22-15) begin a three-game mid-week series with a doubleheader against the Frontier Greys (9-30) on Wednesday night.

First pitch is set for 5:35 pm CDT at historic Bosse Field in Evansville, Indiana with two games scheduled for seven innings each.

Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the game can call the Otters box office at 812-435-8686. Reserve seats are $9 and general admission tickets are $6.

Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski and color commentator Bill McKeon will have the call beginning at 5:15 pm CDT.

Today's doubleheader is sponsored by Carson's Brewery. Otters General Manager Joel Padfield is guaranteeing a doubleheader sweep. If the Otters sweep the doubleheader, all fans in attendance will receive one (1) undated general admission ticket to a future 2014 Otters game. It is also $1 hot dog night at the ballpark.

The pitching matchup in game one will feature Greys righty Clint Wright (3-4, 6.09 ERA) vs. Otters lefty Chad James (3-2, 5.77). RHP Preston Olson (3-2, 2.98) will start game two for Evansville against Greys righty Keith Picht (0-4, 6.33).

Evansville is 6-3 all time against the Frontier Greys, including a 2-1 record this season. Evansville lost the first meeting of the season against the Greys before rebounding to win games on May 23 and May 24 to win the series.

Catcher David Cruz has hit safely in five straight games.

The Otters are 4-1 on the current homestand and are 7-3 in doubleheaders this season.
