
Otters Begin Three Game Road Series at Southern Illinois

The Evansville Otters (29-33) are back on the road today to begin a three game series at the Southern Illinois Miners (34-29).
The Otters will look to ride the momentum of Monday night's doubleheader walk-off win into today's play.
Evansville will be facing the rival Miners for the seventh time this season. The Otters hold a 4-2 lead in the series this year.
The Otters have signed outfielder Jimmy Maxwell and catcher Joe Solomeno. Evansville also released outfielder Jordan Tripp. The team also placed LHP Blake Monar and OF C.J. Henry on the 60 day injured list.
Game one tonight will feature Evansville right-hander Trevor Walch (1-2, 3.06 ERA) against Southern Illinois left-hander Dayne Quist (6-2, 3.12 ERA).
First pitch is set for 7:05 pm CDT at Rent One Park in Marion, Illinois. Fans can tune in to the Evansville Otters on WUEV 91.5 FM beginning at 6:45 pm.
