Ottawa 67's News Release

May 1, 2010 (Ottawa ON.): The Ottawa 67's today announced that 15 year old forward Sean Monahan, a native of Brampton, ON, was their first pick (16th overall) in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Monahan, a 6'1, 175 lbs centre, played last season for the Minor Midget Mississauga Rebels, where he racked up 46 goals and 90 points in 47 games.

Coach Chris Byrne described Monahan as "an offensive minded, physical centre, and I'm looking forward to seeing him on the ice in training camp with our veterans at the end of August."

The 67's have at least 3 open spots on the roster heading into training camp and it's hoped Monahan will battle for one of them.
