Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that they have selected forward Kerby Rychel in the first round, 21st overall in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.
Barrie used the last pick of the first round to select the son of Windsor Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel.
The 6'0", 185 pound left-winger spent last season with the Detroit Belle Tire Under 16 team. In 55 games played the 15 year-old scored 30 goals and 19 assists for 49 points and 58 penalty minutes.
The Colts will pick next in the third round with the 55th and 61st overall picks that they acquired from Belleville on Thursday.
