The Belleville Bulls selected forward Brendan Gaunce with the second overall pick in today's 2010 OHL Priority Selection. Gaunce spent last season as Captain of the Markham Waxers AAA Minor Midget team.

He was also named to the Toronto Star High School Hockey All- Star First Team after recording four goals and 21 points in 17 games for Markham District High School.

"Brendan's talents and leadership were the catalyst in helping Markham challenge at both the OMHA Championship and OHL Cup Tournament" commented Burnett.

The Markham, Ontario native was a York Region High School Football All-Star this past year and is an honour roll student. His brother Cameron is a two time all-star defenceman with the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors and was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
