Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack made use of all three, fourth round selections in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection. With their first selection in the fourth round, the Attack chose Riley Brooks of the Barrie AAA Minor Midgets. In 64 games last season, the 6'0, 190lb forward notched 23 goals and 33 assists to go along with 48 penalty minutes. "He is a pretty responsible, all around player." Stated Dale DeGray, we are pretty happy he was there in the fourth round for us to take.

With their second pick in the fourth round, the Attack chose Jake Dotchin, a 6'02, 195lb defenseman from the Cambridge Hawks. The physical blueliner tallied 17 goals and 34 assists to go alongside 92 Penalty Minutes. "This pick addresses a need for size on the back end in years to come." Said DeGray. "We have some key pieces to the defense puzzle now and Jake will be a great addition to that."

With their third and final pick in the fourth round, the Attack chose Justin Wade from the Chicago Mission U16's. The 6'01, 185lb blue liner is considered a shut down type defenseman who chipped in offensively last year with 13 assists.

The fifth round saw the Attack with only one selection, but it was a "tough" selection so to speak. The Attack added what is considered to be some toughness when they selected forward Devon Rymarchuk from the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs. Rymarchuk picked up 109 Penalty Minutes and was able to add 30 points in 57 games. Rymarchuk is also a teammate of the Attack's first round selection, Jarrod Maidens.
