Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
Shortly after arriving in Charleston, the team hit the road for an 8-game stretch. Now the boys are back in town and the fun is just around the corner! That's right, opening day twenty-ten is almost here! Join us tomorrow, April 16th as the Power kick off their home schedule against the Asheville Tourists! Gates open at 6:00 PM and game time is 7:05 PM.
And baseball isn't all we have planned. The weekend starts off with a bang as Ford and V100 present Friday Night Fireworks. The fun continues Saturday with a magnet schedule giveaway and more fireworks presented by Suddenlink. Then we'll wrap up the weekend with Sudden-Day Kids Day presented by Suddenlink and 98.7 The Beat. Sudden-Days will feature a FREE meal for kids 12 & under courtesy of Buzz Food Service, Flowers Bakery, Frito Lay & Pepsi. Plus if you're a member of Chuck's Lil' Bucs Kids Club you get in FREE. If you are not a member of Chuck's Lil' Bucs you can click here to join.
Sunday will also feature a special appearance by Jimmy Neutron!
The deals don't stop just because the weekend is over! Join us Monday, April 19th as Dairy Queen celebrates the 25th Birthday of the Blizzard treat and the 70 year anniversary of the DQ Brand.
Come down to Appalachian Power Park and be part of the Blizzard's 25th Birthday celebration that includes an emcee, music, photo opportunities, a "snowstorm," free Blizzards and a chance to experience the Blizzard® Blaster - a giant, upside down, inflatable Blizzard cup filled with chilled, swirling scented air. Blizzard fans will each have 25 seconds to try and grab coupons, amid swirling confetti, for prizes. Monday also features Belly Buster Monday where all fans can enjoy an All-You-Can-Eat menu. All tickets for Monday are $15.00.
Tuesday marks the return of Two-for-Tuesday presented by 96.1 The Wolf. This popular promotion returns in full force with 2-for-1 fountain and draft beverages. Join us again on Wednesday as the Power take on the Greenville Drive in game 2 of the 4 games series and prepare for the first Buck Night of 2010! That's right, Buck Night returns to Appalachian Power Park courtesy of 107.3 WKAZ-FM. Tickets for Buck Night are regular price ($5.00 and $7.00 in advance or $6.00 and $8.00 at the gate) but hot dogs, 12 ounce fountain drinks, and 12 ounce draft beers are all still $1.00! Plus, Thursday features a T-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of WVU-Tech.
We'll wrap up the homestand on Friday, April 23rd with Ford Friday Night Fireworks presented by V100 and Damage Prevention Night featuring a Power T-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans.
