
Shorebirds Win 1,000th Game In Franchise History

Greensboro, N.C. - The Delmarva Shorebirds defeated the Greensboro Grasshoppers 6-4 in the series finale to secure the 1,000th win in the history of the franchise. The Shorebirds begin the home portion of the 15th Anniversary Season at Perdue Stadium on Friday, April 16th at 7:05 p.m.
T.J. Baxter lifted the Shorebirds offensively with two home runs and four RBIs. Orioles first round selection, Matt Hobgood, earned the win in six stellar innings. He allowed just four hits and two runs. Hobgood also fanned four and did not issue a walk.
The Shorebirds play the Hagerstown Suns at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium on Friday, April 16th at 7:05 p.m.
