Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Open Homestand Tonight with LA Kings Affiliation Night

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Bakersfield Condors tonight at 6:00 at Citizens Business Bank Arena on LA Kings Affiliation Night presented by the University of La Verne. Tonight is the fourth of 12 meetings between the two teams this season.

The Kings are Coming:

The Reign will wear special LA Kings-themed jerseys and host a postgame jersey auction benefiting the University of La Verne Scholarship Fund. During the game, Kings mascot Bailey, the Kings Ice Crew and in-game hosts Jay Flats and Carrlyn will be roaming around Citizens Business Bank Arena.

The Last Time We Met:

The Reign are 2-1-0-0 against the Condors this season and suffered a 3-0 loss in the last meeting on Saturday, November 14 in Bakersfield, California. Forward Kris Newbury leads the Reign with three goals and four points against the Condors.

Home Sweet Home:

The Ontario Reign open a four-game homestand tonight and a stretch of 14 home games over the next 17 contests.

Kempe Hot at Home:

Forward Adrian Kempe is riding a seven-game home point streak (six goals, four assists) and has two goals and two assists in his last three home games.

Mersch Makes NHL Debut:

Last night, former Ontario Reign forward Michael Mersch made his NHL debut with the Kings at Pittsburgh and became the third member of the Reign to dress with the Kings this season following defensemen Derek Forbort and Jamie McBain.
