Van Brabant Notches Goal and An Assist in Heat 5-2 Loss to Texas
December 12, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Stockton Heat News Release
Cedar Park, TEX - A two-point night from Bryce Van Brabant and some miraculous saves from goaltender Joni Ortio kept the Stockton Heat in the game, but in the end it was the Texas Stars coming out on top 5-2 Saturday night in the two teams' final meeting in the state of Texas this season. The two-point game from Van Brabant was his first of the season, while Bill Arnold's assist on Van Brabant's goal put Arnold on a three-game point streak. Unfortunately, despite Ortio making glove save after glove save throughout the contest, Texas forward Brett Ritchie and his hat trick proved to be the difference, as the Heat could not hold momentum down the stretch. The Stockton Heat finish with a 3-2-0-1 record in the Lone Star State and now look forward to back-to-back games against rival Bakersfield next week, as the Condors travel to Stockton Arena Wednesday night before a special outdoor meeting at Raley Field in Sacramento Friday.
