St. John's IceCaps News Release

ST. JOHN'S, NL - The St. John's IceCaps couldn't hold off the Rochester Americans for a second straight night, losing 3-2 in overtime Saturday at Mile One Centre.

Jason Akeson notched the winner just 1:12 into the extra frame to give the Americans the series sweep.

Gabriel Dumont and Stefan Fournier scored for the home side, which is now winless in its last three games (0-2-1-0). Eddie Pasquale stopped 32-of-35 shots in a third star performance for his first loss in his last four starts. Jacob de la Rose's assist on Dumont's goal gave him points in back-to-back games since returning from injury on Friday.

The IceCaps host the Albany Devils Tuesday and Wednesday for Stocking Stuffer Giveaway Nights. Tickets are still available at the Mile One box office in-person or online at www.mileonecentre.com.

Catch all the action with broadcaster Brian Rogers at www.stjohnsicecaps.com, 930AM, Rogers TV and AHL Live.
