Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign Collide with Roadrunners Tonight On

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Tucson Roadrunners tonight at 6:00 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Tonight is the 11th of 12 regular-season meetings between the two teams.

Tonight is Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley Night! The Reign are wearing Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley Night jerseys and auctioning them off live on the ice after the game benefiting the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley. Series at a Glance:

The Reign are 4-4-2-0 against the Roadrunners this season, 3-1-0-0 at Citizens Business Bank Arena and battled the Roadrunners last weekend at Citizens Business Bank Arena, with the Roadrunner skating away with a 2-1 victory Saturday night. Reign forward T.J. Hensick and defenseman Vincent LoVerde each have two goals and five assists for seven points in the series while Roadrunners blueliners Zbynek Michalek (three goals, four assists) and Jamie McBain (one goal, six assists) each have seven points.

Postseason Push:

The Roadrunners enter tonight's contest two spots out of a postseason position (sixth place, Pacific). The Reign look to reduce their magic number tonight (currently 20). The number is reduced with points earned or teams outside the playoff picture failing to earn standings points. The Reign and Roadrunners complete their regular-season series tomorrow afternoon in Ontario.

Roadrunners Turn to Leaders to Snap Skid:

The Roadrunners have two wins in their last 10 contests (2-7-1-0) entering tonight. Forward Chris Mueller is tied for 12th in the American Hockey League with 48 points (12 goals, 36 assists). Rookie Christian Fischer is tied for fourth among first-year players with 41 points (19 goals, 22 assists) and Kyle Wood is sixth among defensemen with 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists).
