ROCHESTER, NY - Bobby Farnham scored the game-winning goal to lift the St. John's IceCaps over the Rochester Americans 3-2 on Friday Night at the Blue Cross Arena.

The Amerks kicked off the scoring with an early first period marker from Alex Nylander to take the lead.

The teams combined for four goals in the second frame starting with an equalizer from Jacob de la Rose on a play from Bobby Farnham and Keegan Lowe. Rochester took the lead again with a tally from Kyle Bonis before the IceCaps came back with a game-tying goal from Max Friberg. Brett Lernout picked up the lone helper. Farnham would go on to score the game-winner with under a minute left in the second frame. Friberg picked up his second point of the night with a helper on Farnham's tally.

A scoreless third period kept the IceCaps on top for the win. Netminder Charlie Lindgren stopped 18 of 20 shots for St. John's, and Linus Ullmark turned aside 30 of 33 for Rochester.

The IceCaps wrap up a six-game road trip tomorrow night against the Syracuse Crunch (8:30pm).
