Tulsa Oilers News Release
*Rollin' On The River:* The Tulsa Oilers host the Mississippi RiverKings tonight, in the second game of a five game homestand for the Oilers.
*Records: *Oilers are 9-20-5 with 23 points in fourth place in the Northeast Division.
Mississippi is 23-13-0 for 46 points tied for second place in the Northeast Division.
*Season Series: *This is the fifth of seven meetings between these two teams. Mississippi has won all four previous games in regulation time. The latest encounter between the two teams was a 6-0 Mississippi win on January 9^th in Mississippi.
*Recent Action: *Both teams played last night and neither team won. The Oilers lost 5-4 to Bossier-Shreveport here at the BOK Center. Mississippi dropped a 5-1 home ice decision to Oklahoma City. The loss drops Mississippi into a second place tie with Bossier-Shreveport, each team one point behind Oklahoma City in the Northeast Division.
*Feeling Better:* Brendon Hodge who missed two games last week with the flu, was in fine health last night, scoring two goals and adding one assist.
*Just Here To Help:* Lucas LaBelle played his first home game last night for the Oilers (along with Rob Dmytruk). LaBelle has wasted no time making his presence felt with the Oilers. He assisted on Bobby Reed's first period goal to open the scoring. It was LaBelle's second assist in just his third game.
*Reed Him His Rights:* Center Bobby Reed's goal last night continued a recent hot streak for him. He now has scored three goals and has one assist in the last five games.
*That Score Again:* Three of the Oilers last four losses (including one overtime loss) have been by the score of 5-4. The only one the stretch that differed was last Friday's 6-0 loss at Mississippi.
*Postgame Pizza: *After tonight's Oneok Party, the Oilers will be at the downtown location of Joe Mama's Pizza located at 114 Elgin.
*Next Up: *The Oilers host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees on Tuesday night. It is Rio Grande Valley's only visit to the BOK Center this season. Mississippi's next game is also against Rio Grande Valley. The RiverKings will host the Killer Bees next Friday.
