Brahmas Defenseman Justin Kinnunen Called Up To San Antonio

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (January 17)- The Texas Brahmas announced today defenseman Justin Kinnunen has been called up by the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Kinnunen, a two time CHL All-Star has 23 points (9 G, 14 A) in 31 games for the Brahmas. The quick blueliner currently leads Texas' roster in +/- with a +12.

Brahmas Head Coach Dan Wildfong is excited about the call up for his All-Star.

"This is a great opportunity for Justin, it just goes to show that hard work pays off. He is one of the elite defensemen in this league and we are extremely proud to have him as part of our organization," said Wildfong.

Kinnunen and the Rampage will hit the ice at home Sunday afternoon for a 5 PM faceoff against the Peoria Rivermen. On Monday, Kinnunen will suit back up along with his new teammates for a 7 PM match against the Toronto Marlies.
