Tulsa Oilers Marty Standish has made a reputation for being a pesky player and he's been recognized by his beers in the annual Central Hockey League Best of the Best poll.

The survey polls league players, coach's training staffs, media personnel and others in 46 different categories. The categories deal with playing ability, facilities, concessions and overall game nigh experience.

Standish earned the nod as being the second best defensive forward behind Brett Smith of Bossier-Shreveport. For the second straight year also, the Oilers home arena, the BOK Center also earned spots in the poll.

Voters tabbed the BOK Center as the second best arena and also as having the second best locker rooms behind the newly opened INTRUST Bank Arena in Wichita.

The Oilers start a stretch of six straight road games Wednesday at Amarillo in a special school day start time of 11:05 a.m. The Oilers are battling Mississippi and Missouri for the final spot in the Northern conference for the Ray Miron President Cup playoffs.
