Oil Kings sweep Hitmen

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings completed a home-and-home sweep of the Calgary Hitmen with a 3-2 victory on Saturday night at Rexall Place.

Brett Pollock netted the winner, breaking a 2-2 third period tie with 2:46 remaining. His powerplay marker followed Kobe Mohr's first career WHL goal earlier in the frame that helped erase a 2-1 Hitmen lead.

Lane Bauer also scored for Edmonton who improves their record to 7-9-3-0.

Calgary got their goals from Radel Fazleev and Beck Malenstyn.

The Hitmen, 9-10-1-0 will now return home to begin a stretch of five straight games at the Scotiabank Saddledome starting on Friday, Nov. 13 against the Kootenay ICE. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
