Raiders Add Ty Mappin

Prince Albert, SK - The Prince Albert Raiders announced Sunday that the club has added forward Ty Mappin to the roster.

A Red Deer, AB product, Mappin began this season with the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League. In 22 games with the Dragons, he scored four goals and added 20 assists for 24 points.

Mappin was originally selected by the Everett Silvertips in the first round, seventh overall, in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. In 68 career WHL games, split between the Silvertips and Saskatoon Blades, Mappin has collected six goals and 12 assists for 18 points. The five-foot-eleven, 165-pound pivot won a silver medal with Team Canada Pacific at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

On Sunday the Raiders also reassigned goaltender Curtis Meger to the Regina Pat Canadians of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.

The Prince Albert Raiders are back in action on Friday, November 13 as they host the rival Saskatoon Blades at the Art Hauser Centre. Puck drop is 7:00 PM. For ticket information, visit raiderhockey.com or call 764-GAME.
