O'Grady Tosses Career-High 7.2 IP in Shutout

San Antonio, TX - The Arkansas Travelers blanked the San Antonio Missions 4-0 on Thursday night at Wolff Stadium.

LHP Chris O'Grady (W, 4-1) tossed a career-high 7.2 innings and allowed just six hits (all singles) with one walk and five strikeouts.

RHP Eduardo Paredes (S, 4) finished the game retiring each of the four batters he faced with two strikeouts.

O'Grady has allowed three earned runs over his last 31.1 innings for the Travs and has an ERA of 0.70 as a starter, with two earned runs allowed in 25.2 innings.

The Missions committed a season-high five errors in the loss.

Arkansas plated two unearned runs in the third thanks to back-to-back RBI singles from 2B Sean Coyle and DH Eric Aguilera.

The Travs added runs in the seventh and ninth to jump out to the 4-0 advantage.

Arkansas stole four bases in the win and each of the nine starters reached base at least once.

RHP Kyle Lloyd (L, 6-5) took the tough-luck loss. The righty allowed two runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts, but did not surrender an earned run.

With the win, Arkansas remains 1.5 games behind the Northwest Arkansas Naturals for first place in the Texas League North second half standings. The Travs will begin a three-game series on Friday night at Whataburger Field against the Corpus Christi Hooks.
