Kyle Lloyd took the ball Thursday for San Antonio, a club looking for its first sweep of the 2016 season. The 25-year-old right-hander entered his start ninth in the Texas League in ERA at 3.73. He lowered that figure on Thursday after not allowing an earned run over six solid innings.

However, Lloyd (6-5) left trailing 2-0 after Arkansas took advantage of a pair of San Antonio errors in the third to score twice on RBI singles from Sean Coyle and Eric Aguilera.

The Travs plated their third unearned run in the seventh against reliever Adam Cimber when a fielding error by Josh VanMeter (his third of the night) prolonged the inning for Tim Arakawa's RBI single to left center.

Winning starter Chris O'Grady turned out to not need too much help in the finale. The southpaw allowed just six hits and one walk, while striking out five over a career-high seven and two-thirds scoreless innings. O'Grady (4-1) threw 64 of his 94 pitches for strikes. He was followed by Eduardo Paredes, who did not allow a hit over the final inning and a third to notch the save and snap San Antonio's season-high, tying five-game winning streak.

The Travs capped scoring in the ninth against Jimmy Brasoban when catcher Wade Wass scored from third on an Anthony Phillips double play grounder.

San Antonio (24-23, 46-71) continues its season-long, 10-game homestand Friday night with the first of three against Northwest Arkansas (25-22, 54-63). The first 2,000 fans to enter Wolff Stadium Friday will receive a free Fernando Valenzuela Missions Replica Camo Jersey courtesy of McCombs Ford West. Right-hander Seth Simmons (1-3, 2.37) will take the hill for the Missions, while the Naturals counter with southpaw Eric Skoglund (6-8, 3.52).
