
OF Miguel Abreu Heads up to Norfolk; LHP Mike Ballard to Bowie

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce a pair of roster moves today. OF Miguel Abreu was transferred to class Triple-A Norfolk and LHP Mike Ballard was transferred to Bowie from class Triple-A Norfolk. With the moves, the Baysox have 24 active players on their 24-man roster.
Abreu has appeared in seven games for the Baysox this season, batting .167 (3-18). Abreu has played in 22 games for the class Single-A Frederick Keys, batting .244 (20-82) with 10 stolen bases in 12 attempts and eight RBIs.
Ballard pitched in 10 games for the Norfolk Tides this season, including nine starts. The left-hander was 2-4 with a 4.91 ERA over 51.1 innings with 17 walks and 38 strikeouts.
