Tonight, the SeaWolves continue their brief road trip as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the third game of a four-game series at NYSEG Stadium. Last night, the two clubs split a doubleheader with Erie winning the first game 3-1 and the Mets winning the second in extra innings 3-2. With the split, the 'Wolves enter play today in last place in the Western Division, 6.5 games out of first at four games under .500. Erie is 4-6 in its last 10 games while the Mets are 3-7 in the last 10...Righy Mark Sorensen takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 10th start and third against the Mets. Sorensen, despite a rough outing in his last start, picked up his team-leading fourth win in a fog shortened game against Reading. He tossed five innings, allowing seven runs on 10 hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Erie took the lead with four runs in the bottom of the fifth and won the game over the R-Phils 11-7 in five innings...RHP Jeyrys Familia takes the mound for Binghamton making his fifth start and first against the 'Wolves. Familia is the 13th-best prospect in the Mets system according to Baseball America. The righty took a no-decision in his last start against Altoona on May 27 allowing three runs on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Opponents are batting .207 against Familia. Familia made six starts with Class-A St. Lucie before his promotion to Binghamton. He went 1-1 with a 1.49 ERA with the Mets and held opponents to a .171 batting average...The SeaWolves will wrap up the road trip with a morning game on Thursday before heading back to Erie for a three-game weekend series with the Harrisburg Senators beginning Friday night.
