Nycholat gets game-winner as Bears down Chicago 4-3

Down two goals heading to the third period, the BEARS rallied to win in overtime at Allstate Arena 4-3.

Chicago would strike first with Kip Miller scoring a power play goal at the 11:54 mark of the first period. Down 1-0, the BEARS rallied to tie the game before intermission when Boyd Gordon tapped in his eighth goal of the season from Mark Wotton at 13:57. HERSHEY outshot the Wolves 17-10 in the first period, and entered first intermission all tied at 1-1.

The Wolves would run their lead to 3-1 in the second period when Colin Stuart and Ramzi Abid scored before intermission. In the third period, Joey Tenute scored his ninth of the year at 6:14 before Boyd Kane tied the game at 16:18. In overtime, Lawrence Nycholat finishes off the victory with his sixth goal of the season from Joey Tenute and Graham Mink. Tenute was named the game's number one star, scoring a goal and adding two assists.

The BEARS face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Monday night at Wachovia Arena to wrap up the current three-game road trip at 7:05 p.m. HERSHEY will then host the Albany River Rats Wednesday night at GIANT Center at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for the game are available at the GIANT Center box office, or by calling (717) 508-BEAR.
