San Antonio, TX - The San Antonio Rampage got a goal in the shootout from Mike Bishai to upend the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights 3-2 on Thursday night at the SBC Center in San Antonio. The game was the third straight win for the Rampage over the Knights after losing the first two meetings.

The Rampage got the only goal in the first period. While on the powerplay, Krys Kolanos was open for a shot from the left face-off circle. Brent Krahn made the initial save, but the puck bounced to Martin Sonnenberg who slipped in his seventh goal of the season.

The Knights tied the game at 8:57 of the second period. Mark Giordano got off a shot from the left point. The puck bounced slowly to the opposite post where Lynn Loyns dove and poked the puck past a lunging David LeNeveu for his second goal of the year.

Omaha then took its first lead of the game just 1:11 into the third period when Cam Severson pounced on the rebound of a shot by Giordano and slammed home his eighth goal of the year to put the Knights up 2-1.

The Rampage took advantage of another powerplay to tie the game just five minutes later. David Cornacchia pinched in from the point and swept a rebound past Krahn.

In the shootout, there was just one goal, and it was Bishai who would be the only player from either side to tally, banking one in off the left post.

The game was the Knights' first shootout on the road and their league-leading seventh shootout loss.

The Knights are now 13-13-0-7. They now head east to face the Houston Aeros Friday night at 7:35 p.m. They'll finish off their four-game road swing after Christmas when they travel to Michigan to face the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday, December 28th at 7:00 p.m.

The Knights are home again on December 30th when they host the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:00 p.m.
