CURVE, Pa. - An hour and 34 minute rain delay turned out to be the least of the issues on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning as the Curve were swept in both games of a doubleheader by Erie by scores of 8-4 and 11-5.

In the first game, Erie used five straight hits to jump on starter Zack Dodson (2-5) to start the game. Jamie Johnson and Devon Travis singled back-to-back to start the game. Daniel Fields followed with a ground rule double to right to bring home the inning's first run. Steven Moya cleared the bases with a three-run homer to make it, 4-0.

Dodson settled in over the second and third innings and that allowed the Curve to come back and tie the game at four in the bottom of the third thanks to three hits and three Erie errors.

With the game tied at four, Erie used a single by Craig Albernaz, a sac fly by Johnson and bases-loaded walks to Moya and Ramon Cabrera to score their four runs in the fourth to take the lead right back. They'd never surrender the lead and went on to end the Curve's six-game win streak.

In the second game, which started minutes before 10 p.m., the Curve sent Tom Harlan to the hill in his Double-A debut and the lefty pitched well. After allowing two early runs, Harlan settled in to finish five innings and actually left in line for a victory thanks to Carlos Paulino's two-run single that scored Gift Ngoepe and Alen Hanson.

Things then went awry in the sixth as Erie scored three times off Jason Townsend to re-take the lead. Once again, however, the offense proved to be resilient by scoring a run in the bottom of the inning on an Andy Vasquez RBI single to once again tie the game.

It took a turn for the worse in the seventh as Erie scored six times in an inning that saw Erie score three of their six runs on wild pitches.

Paulino led the offense in the second game with three hits and two RBI while Willy Garcia had a pair of hits and one RBI as well.

The Curve (35-56) and SeaWolves (41-49) continue the series at 7 p.m. Wednesday night at Peoples Natural Gas Field. It'll be a 4-Pack Wednesday at the ballpark thanks to WALY 103.9 where fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs and four regular sodas for $35. It'll also be a M&T Bank Customer Appreciation Night where fans can show their M&T Bank card and get $2 off the ticket price. Jack Daniel's Punch will also be on special for $3 for those that are of age at the game as well.

Wednesday will be Ladies Night at the ballpark where the first 500 women (18+) to enter the ballpark will get a raffle ticket to enter drawings for gift cards from local businesses. There will also be an in-game Bachelor auction of Curve staff members taking place at Wednesday night's game with all proceeds from the auction benefiting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

On the hill for the Curve on Wednesday night will be RHP Pat Ludwig (1-3, 6.14), who will look to win back-to-back starts for the first time in Double-A. He'll be opposed by RHP Jeff Ferrell (5-6, 5.14) for the SeaWolves.
