
Normal CornBelters and McLean County 4-H Present Corny's Fair

NORMAL, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, and McLean County 4-H would like to invite you to Corny's Fair during their home game on July 9! 4-H'ers are encouraged to submit a corn-themed project to be judged by Corny, King Tyler and Queen Allison and other local celebrities. The top three projects will win prizes! The CornBelters will play their next home game tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. at The Corn Crib.
"We always have fun at the CornBelter's games and our 4-H members are excited to show off their talents at Corny's Fair on July 9. It will be a fun evening for 4-H members and the public to get a preview of all the great things the McLean County 4-H Fair has to offer," said Amy Schlappi, Program Coordinator, 4-H Youth Development.
Entries must be delivered to the Extension Office by 5:00 p.m. July 5. No late entries will be accepted. 4-H'ers may enter as many project classes as they like. Only one project per class may be exhibited. Project classes include cupcakes, corn kitchen cook off, animal costume contest, photography and home-grown vegetables.
Project check-in will be from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. Judging will take place from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. Corny's Fair first place winners will be announced on field when the CornBelter's game begins at 7:00 p.m. First place will win $30 and a CornBelter's Prize Package, second place will receive $20 and a CornBelter's Prize Package, and third place will receive $10 and a CornBelter's Prize Package.
