
Niko Goodrum activated from the 7-day disabled list; Candido Pimentel promoted to Fort Myers

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that INF Niko Goodrum has been activated from the 7-day disabled list and that INF Candido Pimentel has been promoted to Fort Myers. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.
Goodrum went on the DL back on June 3rd with a concussion after a collision at home play in the Kernels game at Kane County on June 2nd. In 48 games for the Kernels he is batting .270 with a home run, 28 RBI and twelve doubles.
Pimentel played in 47 games for the Kernels, batting .269 with two doubles, two triples, 11 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 14 attempts.
Goodrum will be active for Sunday's 2:05 pm first half finale against the Peoria Chiefs. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with two players currently on the disabled list.
The Kernels wrap up a three game home stand this afternoon at 2:05 at Perfect Game Field against the Peoria Chiefs. After a break for the MWL All-Star Game at Dayton on June 18th, they return to action at Wisconsin on Thursday, June 20th and return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Tuesday, June 25th.
