Nick Ritchie Joins Gulls

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Gulls announced today that left wing Nick Ritchie has been reassigned to the Gulls by the Anaheim Ducks, San Diego's National Hockey League affiliate.

Ritchie, 20 (12/5/95), recorded one assist (0-1=1) with four penalty minutes (PIM) in 11 games with Anaheim this season. A native of Orangeville, ON, Ritchie became the 11th youngest player to make his NHL debut with Anaheim at 19 years, 11 months and 11 days on Nov. 16 at Carolina. The 6-2, 232-pound forward was originally recalled on Nov. 14 after appearing in 12 games with San Diego, collecting 9-3=12 points with a +3 rating and 10 PIM. Ritchie ranks tied for third among league rookies in goals and tied for third overall in power-play goals (5).
