New York City Football Club and Eight by Eight Collaborate on Commemorative MLS Cup Championship BookÃâÃÂ

New York City FC News Release
New York City Football Club are pleased to reveal UNDENYABLE CHAMPIONS, a new commemorative 2021 MLS Cup Championship book. Following on from the FOR THE CITY publication released in 2018, this marks the second print collaboration between NYCFC and the New York City based, Eight by Eight.
Featuring first-person contributions from captain Sean Johnson and former NYCFC Head Coach Ronny Deila among many other features, the 60-page magazine recaps a regular season of highs and lows before the winter's magical run to Portland.
Speaking on the partnership, Eight by Eight's Co-Found and Editor-in-Chief Robert Priest, said: "In our view, UNDENYABLE CHAMPIONS has redrawn the boundaries of what a commemorative publication can be.
"We were invited to replicate the excitement of NYCFC going through an entire season, match-by-match, toward their ultimate goal of winning the MLS Cup. NYCFC was precise about what they wanted the book to achieve, giving us strong, interesting ideas about how best to approach the genre-bending amount of information they hope will appeal to their supporters.
"They were also eager to allow us the freedom to design something original and imaginative. Eight by Eight was very grateful to have assisted in achieving that goal. For us it meant creating a smart book with a bold sense of adventure but with a committed attention to detail that would sharpen the reader's perspective on the character of the team."
Founding Members, please check your email for details on how to pick up a copy of the issue before Saturday's game.
