Fabian Herbers Undergoes Successful Season-Ending Groin Surgery

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that midfielder Fabian Herbers underwent a successful debridement repair of a core muscle injury in his left groin.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Alex Poor M.D. at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia. Herbers will miss the final three matches of the 2022 regular season and is expected to make a full recovery prior to the start of the 2023 campaign.
The Fire will return to Soldier Field to host Charlotte FC on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 7:00 p.m. CT, as the Club celebrates its annual Hispanic Heritage Night, presented by motorola edge. Tickets to the match can be purchased here and the contest will also be televised live on WGN-TV and CF97 Live , and transmitted locally in Spanish on TUDN 1200 AM.
