Club de Foot Montreal News Release

FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts - Ahead of the September international break, CF Montréal (17-9-5) will play its 32nd game of the regular season against the New England Revolution (9-11-11) this Saturday at 7:30pm at Gillette Stadium (TVA Sports, BPM Sports, TSN 690).

This will be the sixth game in 21 days for the Montrealers who remain second in the Eastern Conference. In the last meeting between the two sides, Montreal snapped a six-game losing streak to the Revolution with a 4-0 win at home on August 20.

CF Montréal will arrive at Gillette Stadium having won its last five road games for the first time in Club history. However, Wilfried Nancy's men have a 4-7-1 record in Massachusetts with a -6 goal difference since 2012.

Named to the MLS Team of the Week, striker Kei Kamara scored twice on Tuesday night in a 3-2 win over the Chicago Fire. The former Sierra Leone international now has 138 career goals in the league. He is seven goals shy of being tied for second place on the MLS all-time scoring list, held by Landon Donovan. Montreal also boasts a 6-0-0 record this season when Kamara collects an assist.

New England, on the other hand, is in the midst of a heated battle for a playoff spot. After a 3-1 loss at Houston on Tuesday, the defending Supporter's Shield winners are 10th in the East, three points out of seventh place. A win Saturday would put Bruce Arena's team back in the thick of the playoff race alongside Atlanta, Miami, Columbus, and Cincinnati.
