April 1, 2016 - ECHL (ECHL)
Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. - Defenseman Richard Nedomlel has been reassigned from the Quad City Mallards to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves by the National Hockey League's St. Louis Blues, the Mallards announced today.
Nedomlel, 22, played seven games without recording a point after being assigned to the Mallards on March 17. Nedomlel has picked up two assists in 11 games with the Wolves this year after being acquired by the Blues from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for future considerations on January 15.
A native of Prague in the Czech Republic, the 6' 4", 225-pound Nedomlel also played two games earlier this season for the AHL's Grand Rapid Griffins. Nedomlel started the season with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye, for whom he notched a pair of assists in ten games.
Nedomlel spent each of his first two professional seasons with Toledo. He scored three goals and added 11 assists for 14 points in 49 games with the Walleye last season after producing eight goals, ten assists and 18 points as well as 150 penalty minutes in 60 games as a rookie in 2013-14.
Nedomlel, who was selected by Detroit in the sixth round of the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft with the one hundred seventy-fifth overall choice, skated for the Western Hockey League's Swift Current Broncos for three seasons before turning pro.
