Last Game
Andrew Courtney scored and added an assist and Scott Howes piled up three assists as the host Missouri Mavericks jumped out to a 3-0 lead on the way to a 5-2 victory over the Mallards Wednesday night.
Playoff Picture
The Mallards enter tonight's crucial clash with Tulsa with a three-point lead over the ninth place Oilers in the race for the eighth and final playoff berth in the ECHL's Western Conference after both teams lost back-to-back games Tuesday and Wednesday. The Mallards' were shutout 1-0 Tuesday night in Wichita before falling to the Mavericks the following evening. The Oilers were swept by the Colorado Eagles, who won 6-2 in Tulsa Tuesday night and 4-3 Wednesday night. The Mallards have five games left. The Oilers have six games remaining.
Welcome Home
The Mallards play four of their final five regular season games at home.
On the Road
The Mallards have dropped back-to-back road games after winning their previous five away tilts. They have returned home after going 1-2-0 on a three-game road trip. The Mallards play their final regular season road game next Wednesday against the Komets in Fort Wayne.
Red Light District
Vladimir Nikiforov and Jordan Knackstedt- on the power play- provided the Mallard goals in Wednesday night's loss.
Nickel
The Mallards allowed five goals Wednesday night in Missouri after giving up just one goal in each of their prior three games.
Thoroughbreds
With Wednesday night's loss, the Mallards finished their season series with the Brabham Cup regular season champion Mavericks 0-4-1. The Mallards went 0-4-0 in Missouri.

The Mallards lost their last two games despite outshooting the opposition in each of those two contests.
Between the Pipes
P.J. Musico made 19 saves while suffering the loss in goal Wednesday night. Brody Hoffman was named ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday after stopping 74 of 76 shots while backstopping the Mallards to two wins last weekend.

Jared Knight has picked up four assists in his last four games.

Matt Carey has likewise recorded four points (two goals and two assists) in his last four games.

Mike Monfredo is tied for fifth among ECHL defensemen in assists (28) and is tied for ninth among blue liners in points (34).

By scoring Wednesday night Vladimir Nikiforov reached 298 career points.
Special Teams
Jordan Knackstedt's third period power play goal Wednesday night ended the Mallards 0-for-11 man advantage drought. The Mallards now rank sixteenth in the ECHL on the power play (16.1 percent). While Andrew Courtney scored on the power play for Missouri Wednesday night, the Mallards have killed 32 of their foes' last 34 power plays. The Mallards are tied for tenth in the league in penalty killing (85.0 percent).
Head to Head
The Mallards head into tonight's regular season series finale having split their first four meetings with the Oilers. The two clubs also split their two prior meetings in the Quad Cities. The Mallards have gone 14-13-0 all-time against the Oilers and have gone 9-7-0 at home against Tulsa.
Ins and Outs
Zach Pochiro returned to the Mallards' lineup Wednesday night from a one game suspension after being assessed a match penalty in the Mallards' game last Saturday in Wichita...Raphael Bussieres (upper body) has missed the Mallards' last 11 games.
