
Wedgewood is the MeiGray Group ECHL Alumnus of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Former Trenton?Titans and Adirondack Thunder goaltender Scott Wedgewood is http://www.meigray.comThe MeiGray Group ECHL Alumnus of the Month for March.
The leading distributor of game- worn hockey jerseys and "Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL," MeiGray has sold more than 7,000 jerseys since it became "The Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL" in 2002-03.
The 23-year-old went 2-1-1 with one shutout, a 1.24 goals-against average and a save percentage of .957 in his first four National Hockey League appearances. Wedgewood made 27 saves in his NHL?debut, picking up a 2-1 win over Columbus on March 20. He picked up his first NHL shutout four nights later, stopping 39 shots in a 3-0 victory at Pittsburgh.
Selected by the Devils in the third round (84th overall) of the 2010 NHL?Entry Draft, Wedgewood made his pro debut in the ECHL with Trenton in 2012-13, posting a 20-22-5 record with a 3.22 goals-against average and a save percentage of .900. He saw action in one game with Adirondack earlier this season, making 39 saves in a 5-2 win against Brampton on?Dec. 4.
A native of Brampton, Ontario,?Wedgewood has appeared in 93 career games with Albany of the American Hockey League where he has an overall record of 40-32-16 with seven shutouts, a 2.46 goals-against average and a save percentage of .905.
There have been 595 players who have played in the NHL after playing in the ECHL including 26 who have made their debut in 2015-16 . The ECHL has had 403 players reach the NHL since 2002-03 when it changed its focus to become the primary developmental league for the NHL and the AHL. The ECHL had 97 players reach the NHL in its first 10 seasons and 215 in the first 15 years. There have been 339 ECHL players who have played their first game in the last 11 seasons for an average of more than 30 per year.
