Greenville, SC - The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced rookie defenseman Greg Amlong has been signed to a Standard Players Contract (SPC). In addition, defenseman Chris Leone has been signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO). Both are expected to make their professional debuts this weekend against Kalamazoo.

He led all Tigers defensemen in assists (14) earlier this season and was tied for first among blue-liners in points (21). A native of O'Fallon, Missouri, Amlong also spent two seasons at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell from 2012-14. He collected 12 points (1g, 11a) in 43 contests and played alongside Swamp Rabbits defenseman Joe Houk both years.

Prior to his collegiate career, the 6'2, 209-pound skater played two seasons at the junior level with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders of the United States Hockey League (USHL) from 2010-12. He notched 38 points (10g, 28a) in 99 games and served as an alternate captain during his second and final season.
