
NBA TV to Feature 10 Minnesota Lynx Games on 2008 National Broadcast Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - Of the 65 regular-season games that are a part of NBA TV's 2008 WNBA schedule, the Minnesota Lynx are one of five teams with at least 10 games that will air on the network.
Seven Lynx games will be televised on FSN North, while four of those games are also a part of the NBA TV broadcast schedule. The Lynx will air 10 times on NBA TV in 2008, beginning with their visit to Chicago to take on the Chicago Sky at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago on May 29 at 7 p.m. CDT. Four of the 10 telecasts will feature Target Center dates, beginning with Minnesota's game against the Houston Comets on June 21, airing on NBA TV at 7 p.m. CDT. The first-ever visit to Minnesota by the WNBA's newest franchise, the Atlanta Dream, will also air on NBA TV, on July 9 at 7 p.m. CDT. Other televised games from the Target Center include a visit by reigning WNBA MVP Lauren Jackson and the Seattle Storm on July 22 at 12 p.m. CDT, as well as the first visit by Candace Parker, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft, when the Los Angeles Sparks visit on July 27 at 5 p.m. CDT. Three of these broadcasts - Houston, Seattle and Los Angeles - will be televised simultaneously on FSN North. NBA TV will also air five additional Lynx road games in 2008, including visits to Madison Square Garden in New York City for the game against the New York Liberty on June 14 at 6:30 p.m. CDT, to the Palace of Auburn Hills for the game against the reigning Eastern Conference champion Detroit Shock on June 20 at 6:30 p.m. CDT, to San Antonio's AT&T Center for both games against the Silver Stars on June 28 and July 19 at 7 p.m. CDT, and finally to Los Angeles for the game against the Lisa Leslie and the Sparks on Sept. 1 at 9:30 p.m. CDT. The Minnesota Lynx will open their 10th Anniversary Season on May 18, 2008, against the Detroit Shock. The first 5,000 fans will receive a T-shirt courtesy of U.S. Bank.
