Indiana Fever News Release

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis native and two-time WNBA All-Star Katie Douglas will make her first appearance in the Indiana Fever's preseason training camp on Friday, one day prior to the start of the regular season. It will be her first practice in a Fever jersey since being acquired in a blockbuster trade with her former team, the Connecticut Sun, in February.

Returning Fever stars Ebony Hoffman and Tammy Sutton-Brown will arrive from Turkey on Saturday. All three were victorious in championship games on Wednesday evening - Douglas leading Ros Casares to the Spanish League championship, with Hoffman and Sutton-Brown teaming to lead Fenerbahce to the Turkish League crown.

Thursday, the Fever waived Kristen Newlin and Angelina Williams, finalizing a 13-player roster for the regular season opener against the Washington Mystics. Newlin, a center from Stanford, joined the team in Seattle last week and was waived after spending seven days with the club. Williams, a small forward out of Illinois who has played previously with the Phoenix Mercury and Detroit Shock, was waived in WNBA training camps for a second straight season.

Led by WNBA All-Stars Tamika Catchings, Douglas and Sutton-Brown, the Fever bids for its first WNBA Finals appearance after reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the past three seasons. Season tickets are available at FeverBasketball.com or by calling (317) 917-2500.
