Fever Defeat Minnesota Lynx in Final Regular Season Home Game

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Fever (28-15) earned a 96-77 victory in the final regular season game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday night. The trio of Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell combined for 64 points, leading the team to the 18-point win.

With one regular-season game remaining, the Fever sit in fifth place, finishing the regular season on Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Minnesota Lynx. The game will determine final seeding for the playoffs which begin on Sunday, Sept. 27.

With nine points from Kelsey Mitchell and eight from both Caitlin Clark and Makayla Timpson in the first quarter, the Indiana Fever took a 15-point lead over the Lynx. Outscoring Minnesota 26-18, the Fever expanded their lead in the second quarter, thanks in part to nine points from Aliyah Boston, up 57-34 at the halftime break.

The Lynx held the Fever to just 14 points in the third quarter, scoring 30 themselves, to cut Indiana's lead to single digits with one quarter remaining. However, the Fever responded in the fourth quarter, holding Minnesota to 13 points, scoring 25 to secure the 19-point win.

Indiana Fever Notes:

Kelsey Mitchell set a new league record for most 20+ point games in a single season in WNBA history, doing so in her 35th game this year, passing A'ja Wilson who recorded 34 in 2024.

Additionally, Kelsey Mitchell extended her league-leading 20+ point scoring streak, doing so in her 27th consecutive game.

Kelsey Mitchell recorded her 154th 20+ point game in her career, tying Angel McCoughtry for the seventh most in WNBA history.

With her double-digit scoring performance, Kelsey Mitchell tied the WNBA record for most 10+ point games in a single season, matching the record of 43 games set by Dearcia Hamby in 2025.

Aliyah Boston's seven rebounds give her 314 on the season thus far, good for the fourth-most rebounds in a single season in franchise history. Boston now owns the top four rebounding seasons in Indiana Fever history.

Caitlin Clark scored 20+ points for the seventh consecutive game, tying Kelsey Mitchell's mark in 2024 for the second longest of such streak in franchise history.

The game also marked Caitlin Clark's 27th 20+ point game of the season, tied for the sixth most of such games in a single season in a WNBA season.

Caitlin Clark scored 25+ points for the fifth consecutive game, the longest streak by a point guard in WNBA history, tied for the fourth longest overall.

With her three pointer at 3:09 in the third quarter Sophie Cunningham eclipsed 2,000 points, now at 2,004 points across her career.
